Tier 4 of Extended Benefits Ending
Indiana no longer qualifies for the fourth tier of the federal extended benefits program due to the state’s lower unemployment rate. Tier 4 is the last six weeks of the possible 79 weeks of benefits. Hoosiers will be unable to file a new claim for tier four beginning Sunday, May 13, 2012. Individuals currently receiving tier 4 benefits will be able to finish any remaining weeks on their claim.
